Professional Projects 1999 - 2003
A selection of games I worked on at Gremlin Interactive a.k.a Infogrames a.k.a Atari
Published by Atari (after they bought Infogrames). This was a new 3D reboot of the MicroMachines franchise. In those days the artists did everything. :-) My role and responsibility on this project covered many areas. I was in charge of two levels that consisted of two tracks within each of them. I had to design, build, texture, script (trigger boxes for animations or obstacles), VFX and Lighting. Additionally I was responsible for designing, building and texturing 7 vehicles used in the game (a selection of which are shown below). I used Maya 4 along with a bespoke level editor and particle editor. My levels where called 'Perilous Places' and 'Toy Town Sci-Fi' in case you play the game ;-)
This was the first project I worked on at Gremlin Interactive/Infogrames. I was responsible for the modelling, texturing of all the vehicles and animation of all the weapon 'transforms' for all the vehicles as well. I also created all the UI elements for the game including icons, fonts and 3D Fonts. I modeled props and scripted events such as animations in the background triggered by the player. I also designed and built several tracks for the game. I also did additional work as well as created new tracks for the PS2 exclusive port of the game Dastardly & Mutley: Wacky Races.
